    Characteristic

    The rhizomes of the tentacle contain tannins and other biologically active substances.

    Description:

    Pieces of rhizomes of indeterminate form of yellow, yellowish brown, pinkish brown, reddish-brown, light or dark brown in color.

    The smell is weak, fragrant. The taste of water extract is astringent.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Decoction of rhizomes of cinquefoil has astringent and anti-inflammatory action.

    Indications:

    Applied internally with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (diarrhea, enteritis, colitis); locally for rinsing with inflammatory processes of the oral cavity (stomatitis, gingivitis, sore throats).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. If administered orally, children under 12 years of age.

    Dosing and Administration:

    About 15 grams (1 tablespoon) of crushed rhizomes are placed in enameled pots, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of cooled boiled water, cover with a lid and insist on a boiling water bath for 30 minutes, then filter without cooling, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the resulting broth is brought to 200 ml with boiled water. Take inside 1 tablespoon 3 times a day.

    Locally, the broth is used to rinse the mouth.

    It is recommended to stir up the broth before use.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible. Prolonged use of large doses can cause loss of appetite, indigestion.
