    Composition:

    Active substance: lipoic acid 25 mg

    Excipients:

    Kernel composition: dextrose monohydrate (glucose), potato starch, sucrose (sugar), calcium stearate (calcium stearate 1-water), talc.

    Composition of the shell: silicon dioxide colloid (aerosil), beeswax, titanium dioxide, magnesium carbonate core, povidone (polyvinylpyrrolidone), sucrose (sugar), talc, yellow water-soluble dye (KF 6001).

    Description:
    Round, biconvex tablets, covered with a coat of greenish-yellow or yellow, two layers are visible on the cross-section.

    A.16.A.X.01   Thioctic acid

    Pharmacodynamics:
    Lipoic acid is a coenzyme involved in the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvic acid and alpha-keto acids, plays an important role in the energy balance of the body. By the nature of biochemical action thioctic acid is similar to the vitamins of the B group. It participates in the regulation of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, has a lipotropic effect, affects cholesterol metabolism, improves liver function, has a detoxification effect in poisoning with salts of heavy metals and other intoxications.
    Indications:
    Fatty degeneration of the liver, liver cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis A, intoxication (including heavy metal salts, pale toadstool), hyperlipidemia.
    Contraindications:
    Hypersensitivity, lactation, children under 6 years.
    Carefully:Pregnancy.
    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, after eating. Adults - 2 tablets (50 mg) 3-4 times a day.

    Children over 6 years - 1 tablet (25 mg) 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment is 20-30 days. If necessary, a second course is performed at the doctor's prescription after 1 month.

    Side effects:
    Dyspepsia (including nausea, heartburn, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain), allergic reactions (incl.urticaria, skin rash, itching and systemic allergic reactions up to anaphylactic shock), hypoglycemia.
    Overdose:

    Symptoms: generalized convulsions, acid-base disorders with lactic acidosis, hypoglycemia coma, bleeding disorders.

    Treatment: gastric lavage, induction of vomiting, reception of activated charcoal, symptomatic therapy.

    Interaction:

    Enhances the anti-inflammatory effect of glucocorticosteroids. Reduces the effectiveness of cisplatin. Strengthens the action of insulin and oral hypoglycemic agents. Binds metals, therefore, should not be taken simultaneously with drugs containing metal ions (preparations of iron, magnesium, calcium); the interval between the reception should be at least 2 hours. Ethanol and metabolites weaken the action of lipoic acid.

    Special instructions:
    During the period of treatment, regular monitoring of glucose concentration (especially at the beginning of therapy) is necessary in patients with diabetes mellitus; should refrain from drinking alcohol.
    Form release / dosage:
    The coated tablets are 25 mg.
    Packaging:

    For 10 tablets in contour cell packs.

    10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 100 tablets in polymer cans.

    Banks of polymer or contour mesh packages with an equal number of instructions for use are placed in a group package.

    Each jar or 1, 2, 3, 4; 5, 6 contour squares with instructions for use are placed in a pack.

    For 36, 52, 72, 105, 120, 135, 180 polymer cans or 200, 400, 600, 800 contour cell packs with 10 or 20 instructions for use are placed in a cardboard box (for hospitals).

    Storage conditions:
    In dry, protected from light and out of reach of children, at a temperature of no higher than 25 ° C.
