    * Palm creeping fruit extract (10: 1 (7.5 - 12.5: 1)) is obtained from the fruit Serenoa repens (Bertram) small, family Palms - Agaveceae and ethanol (93 - 96)% (extractant, evaporates in the production process).

    Description:

    Oval, soft, gelatin capsules of dark green color. Contents of the capsule is an oily-viscous mass of brown color, without sediment.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Extract of palm fruits creeping reduces edema and obstruction in periglundular, stromal and glandular tissues of the prostate proper. Increases activity in prostate tissue of enzyme 3α-hydroxy steroid oxidoreductase (3α-HSOR), participating in the metabolism of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and the creatine kinase enzyme. In prostate tissue, an increase in the content of myristic and lauric acids contained in the Palprostes® preparation can be observed.

    In experiments in vitro inhibition of activity of 5α-reductase under the action of these acids.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Studies of pharmacokinetic properties were not carried out, because palms of creeping fruit extract is a multicomponent mixture, and studying it pharmacokinetics is not possible.

    Indications:

    It is intended only for men.

    - Benign prostatic hyperplasia (stage I and II);

    - As part of the complex therapy of chronic prostatitis to eliminate dysuric symptoms (dysuria, night pollakiuria, pain syndrome, etc.).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to one of the components of the drug, children under 18 years of age (there are no clinical studies on the use of the drug in childhood), hereditary intolerance to fructose.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, daily, preferably at the same time, after eating 1 capsule each 1 time per day. Capsules swallow whole, without chewing, squeezed a small amount of liquid.

    It is recommended to take Palprostes® for a long time. Duration of the course treatment is at least 3 months. Optimum scheme and repeated courses of treatment establishes and appoints a doctor individually in each case on the basis of diagnostic examination of the patient.

    Side effects:

    From the digestive system: gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea).

    From the cardiovascular system: arterial hypotension, fainting.

    From the nervous system: violation of coordination of movements.

    Other: allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    It is possible to increase the severity of side effects from the organs of the gastrointestinal tract.

    Treatment: symptomatic.

    Interaction:There is no data on interactions with other drugs.
    Special instructions:

    Before the appointment of the preparation of palm fruits creeping, you need to make sure that the disease is benign. Patients who take Palprostes® for a long time should undergo a regular physical examination. With worsening of the patient's condition against the background of taking the drug and the appearance of such symptoms as: arterial hypotension, impaired coordination of movements, fainting, appearance in urine traces of blood or with acute urinary retention it is necessary to stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.

    When using Palprostes®, care should be taken with extreme caution in driving vehicles and other potentially hazardous activities that require increased attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

    Packaging:

    For 15 or 25 capsules in a blister of the combined material PVC / PVDH transparent film and aluminum foil.

    For 2 or 4 blisters (15 capsules each), or 1, 2, 4 or 6 blisters (25 capsules each) are placed in a cardboard box together with instructions for use.

    Storage conditions:

    At a temperature of no higher than 25 ° C, in the original packaging.
