Mechanism topical antiandrogenic action due to inhibition of the synthesis of DHT from testosterone (by inhibiting the enzyme 5-alpha reductase type I and II) and its fixation to the cytosolic receptor of prostate cells, which prevents the penetration of the hormone to the nucleus.
