Plantain of large leaves - instructions for use, dose, side effects, contraindications

Pieces of leaf blades and petioles of various shapes passing through a sieve with holes 2 mm in size. The color is green or brownish green. The smell is weak. The taste of water extract is bitterish.

Pharmacodynamics:

Infusion of plantain of large leaves strengthens the secretion of bronchial glands, renders mucolytic,anti-inflammatory effect, stimulates the secretion of gastric juice, increases its acidity.

Indications:

In the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract (bronchitis, tracheitis).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to plantain large. Hyper secretion of gastric juice, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum during an exacerbation, pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, children under 12 years.

Dosing and Administration:

2 filter bags (3 g) are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover with a lid and insist for 15 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 100 ml with boiled water.

Take inside in a warm form 1/2 cup 2-3 times a day 30 minutes after eating. The course of treatment is 7-10 days.

Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible, in rare cases - heartburn.

Overdose:So far, no cases of overdose have been reported.

Interaction:

The use of the drug is not recommended with antitussive drugs containing codeine, as this makes it difficult for sputum to depart.

Packaging:

By 1.5 grams into the filter bags.

For 10 or 20 filter bags are placed in packs of cardboard.
