    Composition:

    Plantain leaves are large.

    Characteristic

    Leaves of plantain large contain mucus, tannins, flavonoids, ascorbic acid, carotene and other biologically active substances.

    Description:

    Pieces of leaf blades and petioles passing through a sieve with holes 2 mm in size. Color from light green to brownish-green with brown, white, yellowish-white and rare purple blotches. The smell is weak. The taste of water extract is weakly harsh.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Infusion of plantain leaves has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antimicrobial and expectorant effect. Stimulates tissue regeneration, enhances the secretory activity of the glands of the stomach and intestines. Anti-inflammatory effect is due to the presence of polysaccharides (mucus, pectins), carotene.

    Indications:

    In the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract (tracheitis, bronchitis).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to plantain large. Hyper secretion of gastric juice, hyperacid gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum (at the stage of exacerbation), children under 3 years.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Application during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is possible if the expected benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus and the baby. It is necessary to consult a doctor.

    Dosing and Administration:

    2 filter packets (3 g) are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and insist 15 minutes. Filter packs are squeezed, the volume of the obtained infusion is brought to boiling water to 100 ml.

    Infusion is prescribed orally 2-3 times a day 30 minutes after eating:

    adults and children over 12 years old by 1/2 glass (100 ml);

    children from 6 to 12 years - 1/3 cup (70 ml);

    children from 3 to 5 years - 1/4 (50 ml) of glass.

    The course of treatment is 7-10 days.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible, in rare cases - heartburn.

    Overdose:

    To date, cases of overdose have not been reported.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:

    The drug does not affect the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities requiring special attention and quick reactions (driving and other vehicles, working with moving mechanisms, etc.).

    For 1.5 g in filter bags, 10 or 20 filter bags are stacked in cardboard packs.
