    Characteristic
    Chamomile flowers contain essential oil, flavonoids and other biologically active substances.

    Description:Inhomogeneous mixture of flower baskets and their parts passing through a sieve with holes 5 mm in diameter. Separate yellow tubular and white reed florets and their fragments; slices of flower or whole, greyish-green, conical, glabrous, finely-pitched from the outside and hollow, inside, sometimes with partially preserved tubular, rarely marginal ligulate flowers and yellowish-green or grayish-green leaves of wrapping; individual leaves of the envelope are oblong-ovate with a blunt apex and a wide filiform margin; pieces of ribbed peduncles from light green to greenish-brown color. The color is greenish-yellow with white, greyish-green and yellowish-brown blotches. The scent is fragrant. The taste of water extract is spicy, bitter, slightly slimy.

    A.01.A.B   Antimicrobials for topical use in diseases of the oral cavity

    Pharmacodynamics:Infusion of chamomile flowers has anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and moderate antimicrobial effect, reduces the processes of fermentation in the intestine, increases the secretion of digestive glands.
    Indications:Infusion of chamomile flowers is used internally in complex therapy for chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer of stomach and duodenum, chronic enteritis, chronic colitis, flatulence, intestinal spasms, diarrhea.
    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the drug.

    Pregnancy and lactation:The use of the inside is possible after agreement with the attending physician.

    Dosing and Administration:About 8-10-g (2-3 table spoons) of flowers are placed in enameled dishes, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of cooled boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Then it is cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.
    Infusion taken orally 2-3 times a day: adults and children over 12 years - 2-3 tablespoons; children from 7 to 12 years - 1-2 tablespoons; children from 3 to 6 years - 1 tablespoon; children under 3 years old - 1 teaspoonful.
    For rinsing of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and pharynx, 1 / 2-1 glass is used 3-5 times a day in a warm form.
    In the form of an enema, 50 ml of warm infusion is introduced into the rectum.
    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.
    Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible.
    Form release / dosage:Flowers are shredded.
