Ayr rhizomes - instructions for use, doses, side effects, contraindications

Pieces of rhizomes of various shapes passing through a sieve with apertures measuring 7 mm. Color yellowish or pink, sometimes greenish. The smell is strong, fragrant. The taste of water extract is spicy-bitter.

Pharmacodynamics:

Ayr rhizomes contain bitter substance ascarin, essential oil, tannins, resins, ascorbic acid and other biologically active compounds.

Irritating the taste receptors of the mucous membranes of the mouth and tongue, the infusion of the rhizomes of the aura reflexively increases the secretion of gastric juice, increases appetite and improves digestion.It has spasmolytic, anti-inflammatory, choleretic and diuretic effects.

Indications:

They are used as a means to increase appetite and improve digestion in complex therapy for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (including chronic gastritis, dyspeptic disorders, decreased appetite, biliary dyskinesia, chronic cholecystitis).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, children under 12 years.

Dosing and Administration:

About 15 g (2 tablespoons) of crushed rhizomes are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool 45 minutes at room temperature, filter, the remaining raw materials squeeze out. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

Take inside in a warm form for 1/4 cup 3-4 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible.

Overdose:

Cases of overdose have not been registered to date.

The drug has no effect on the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities requiring increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (including driving, working with moving mechanisms).
