Description:Rhizome pieces of various shapes yellowish white, greenish white, rozovatoserogo, greenish-gray, with partially preserved yellowish brown or brownish stopper passing through the sieve with openings of 2 mm diameter. The smell is strong, fragrant, characteristic. The taste of water extract is spicy-bitter.

Pharmacodynamics:

Calamus rhizomes contain askorin bitter substance, essential oil "tannins, resins, ascorbic acid and other biologically active compounds.

Irritating the taste receptors of the mucous membranes of the mouth and tongue, the infusion of the rhizomes of the aura reflexively increases the secretion of gastric juice, increases appetite and improves digestion.It has spasmolytic, anti-inflammatory, choleretic and diuretic effects.

Indications:

They are used as a means to increase appetite and improve digestion in complex therapy for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (including chronic gastritis, dyspeptic disorders, biliary dyskinesia, chronic cholecystitis).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug; pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, children under 12 years.

Dosing and Administration:2 filter packets (3 g) are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and insist 15 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 100 ml with boiled water. Take inside 1/4 cup infusion 3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible.

Overdose:

Cases of overdose have not been registered to date.

The drug has no effect on the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities requiring increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (including driving, working with moving mechanisms).
