    Composition:

    Birch buds.

    Birch buds contain an essential oil, the main components of which are sesquiterpene compounds (betulin, betulenol, betulenic acid, caryophyllene); resins, tannins, flavonoids, saponins, macro- and microelements and other biologically active substances.
    Description:

    The kidneys are elongate-conical, pointed or blunted, often sticky. The scales are arranged tile, tightly pressed around the edges, slightly ciliate (the lower ones are shorter than the upper ones and sometimes with slightly trailing tips); the length of the kidney is 3-7 mm, in the diameter -1.5-3 mm.

    The color of the kidneys is brown, sometimes greenish at the base. The smell is balsamic, pleasant. The taste of water extract is astringent, resinous.

    Pharmacodynamics:Infusion of birch buds has a diuretic and anti-inflammatory effect.
    Indications:

    Edema of cardiac or renal origin of mild to moderate severity (as part of complex therapy).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, chronic kidney failure, acute glomerulonephritis, pregnancy, lactation period, children's age (up to 12 years).

    Dosing and Administration:

    About 10 grams (1 tablespoon) of kidney birch are placed in enameled pots, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the obtained infusion is brought to boiling water up to 200 ml.

    Take inside 1-2 tablespoons 3 times a day for 30 minutes before eating.

    The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible.

    Overdose:

    To date, cases of overdose have not been reported.
