    Description:

    Ground raw materials. Pieces of stems, often longitudinally-split leaves, inflorescences, as well as individual flowers and seeds. Color greenish-violet with white, brown, brownish-violet, whitish-green and pink impregnations. The scent is fragrant. The taste of the water extract is bitterish-spicy, slightly astringent.

    The oregano grass contains essential oil (including thymol, carvacrol, etc.), tannins, flavonoids, organic acids, macro and microelements,and other biologically active substances.

    Pharmacodynamics:Has an expectorant, choleretic, diuretic and sedative effect. Strengthens the peristalsis of the intestine and increases the secretion of gastric juice, has moderate antimicrobial properties.
    Indications:

    Inside the infusion of herb oregano is used in adults as an expectorant for diseases of the respiratory tract (acute and chronic bronchitis, ARVI); as a means of increasing appetite and improving digestion, with secretory deficiency of the gastrointestinal tract, with intestinal atony, with enterocolitis accompanied by constipation and flatulence.

    External applied to lotions for pustular skin diseases and diathesis.
    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. When ingestion - pregnancy, the age of 18 years.

    Dosing and Administration:

    About 10 g (2 tablespoons) of raw materials are placed in enameled dishes, pour 200 ml (I glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes,cooled for 45 minutes at room temperature, filtered, the remaining raw material was squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water. Take inside 1 / 4-1 / 2 cup 2 times a day for 15 minutes before meals. External apply for baths or in the form of lotions 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment is 1-2 weeks.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.
