    Pharmacodynamics:

    Contains polysaccharides, essential oil. The main constituent of essential oil is non-cyclic sesquiterpenes. The main active substances with immunostimulating activity are polysaccharides of echinacea.

    Echinacea preparations have a therapeutic effect under various pathological conditions due to an increase in the body's natural defenses, are used in diseases,associated with the weakening of the functional state of the immune system caused by chronic inflammatory diseases, exposure to ionizing radiation, ultraviolet rays, chemotherapeutic drugs, prolonged therapy with antibiotics. Echinacea preparations are also antibacterial, antiviral and antimycotic properties.

    Indications:

    Increase nonspecific factors of body protection in uncomplicated acute infectious diseases and with a predisposition to frequent catarrhal diseases; in order to stimulate immunity in patients with uncomplicated acute infectious diseases (as an auxiliary treatment); prevention of ARVI and influenza; as an auxiliary drug for prolonged antibiotic therapy of chronic infectious diseases.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, progressive systemic diseases (leukemia, leukemia, multiple sclerosis), pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, children under 12 years.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Echinacea preparations are taken internally.The dose, frequency and duration of application are set individually, depending on the dosage form used.

    Side effects:
    Possible: allergic reactions; when used in high doses - nausea, vomiting, stool disorders, insomnia, increased excitability of the nervous system.
    Overdose:
    Acute poisoning and an overdose are unlikely. To date, cases of overdose have not been reported.
    Interaction:

    Possible simultaneous use with antibiotics and other antimicrobial agents. Do not take the drug within 3 days after the end of the course of treatment with cephalosporin derivatives (cefamandol, cefotetan, cefmenoxime, cefoperazone, moxalates).

    The drug is incompatible with immunosuppressors.

    Special instructions:
    Patients with recurrent infectious diseases of the respiratory tract require regular medical supervision.

    During the period of application of Echinacea, no other immunostimulating drugs should be prescribed.
