It has an immunostimulating and anti-inflammatory effect. Increases the phagocytic activity of neutrophils and macrophages; stimulates interleukin-1 production; induces the transformation of B-lymphocytes into plasma cells; improves the function of T-helpers; improves metabolic processes, especially in the liver and kidneys.

Indications:

Strengthening nonspecific factors of body protection in uncomplicated acute infectious diseases and with a predisposition to frequent catarrhal diseases.

Prevention of acute respiratory viral infection and influenza.

As an auxiliary drug for prolonged antibiotic therapy of chronic infectious diseases.

Contraindications:

Increased individual sensitivity to drug components, tuberculosis, leukemia, autoimmune diseases (including collagenoses), widespread atherosclerosis, multiple sclerosis, AIDS and HIV infection; children under 12 years old, advanced age, pregnancy, lactation.

Carefully:

With diabetes, bronchial asthma, epilepsy, chronic liver disease, alcoholism, craniocerebral trauma.

Dosing and Administration:

The drug is administered orally 30 minutes before meals.Adults and children over 12 years of age are prescribed 20-30 drops 3 times a day. Duration of treatment is no more than 8 weeks without interruption.

Side effects:

Overdose:

When exceeding the recommended doses, nausea, vomiting, stool disorders, insomnia, increased nervous system nervousness may occur.

Special instructions:

Patients with chronic liver diseases and patients suffering from alcoholism and receiving treatment should remember that the drug contains 40% vol. % of alcohol. The amount of ethanol in a single dose of the drug (in terms of absolute alcohol) is 0.4 g. The amount of alcohol consumed at one time corresponds to approximately one tablespoon of wine.

In the case of long-term storage, the liquid may become opalescent, a precipitate consisting of active polysaccharides appears (shake several times before use). Opalescence and flake formations of the solution do not affect the effectiveness of the preparation.
