Description:

Tablets are white or white with a yellowish tinge color, flat-cylindrical with a bevel, with a risk on one side and the marking "R"or without it - on the other.

Pharmacodynamics:

Antimicrobial preparation for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the throat and oral cavity. The mechanism of action of gramicidin C is associated with increased permeability of the cytoplasmic membrane of a microbial cell that gives its resistance and causes destruction of cells. The drug reduces inflammation, softens discomfort in the throat, facilitates swallowing.

Pharmacokinetics:

Due to low systemic absorption, there is no data on the pharmacokinetics of the drug.The drug has a local effect and is practically not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, which causes a virtually complete absence of systemic effects.

Indications:

Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat:

- Acute tonsillitis (sore throat);

- pharyngitis;

- parodontosis;

- gingivitis;

- stomatitis.

Contraindications:

- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;

- lactation period;

- Children's age up to 4 years.

Carefully:

- Pregnancy;

- Children's age from 4 to 12 years.

Pregnancy and lactation:

If you need to use the drug during pregnancy, you should consult your doctor to assess the relationship between the benefits to the mother and the potential risk to the fetus.

For the duration of treatment, breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Dosing and Administration:

Apply after eating, by slow resorption in the mouth, without chewing. For 1-2 hours after using the drug should refrain from eating food and drink.

Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2 tablets (one after another for 20-30 minutes) 4 times a day.

Children from 6 to 12 years: 1-2 tablets 4 times a day (but not more than 7 tablets per day).

Children from 4 to 6 years: 1 tablet 4 times a day.

The course of treatment is 5-6 days.

The use of more than 6 days is possible on the recommendation of a doctor.

Side effects:

In some cases, allergic reactions to the components of the drug are possible.

Overdose:

Symptoms: taking doses that are higher than the recommended ones can cause disturbances in the gastrointestinal tract characteristic of overdose of other antibiotics due to changes in bacterial flora and superinfection: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

Treatment: stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.

Interaction:

Gramicidin C enhances the effects of other antimicrobial agents of local and systemic action.

Special instructions:

Tablets can not be chewed and not swallowed.

Patients suffering from diabetes should take into account that each tablet contains 0.05 bread units (XE).

Packaging:

For 10 tablets in a contour mesh box made of polyvinylchloride film and foil of aluminum printed lacquered or paper packaging.
