    Pharmacodynamics:Antibiotic for topical application, forms a network of channels in the lipid structures of membranes, which causes the osmotic instability of microbial cells. Bacteriostatic, and in high concentrations - bactericidal action against streptococci, gonococci, meningococci, staphylococci, as well as pathogens of anaerobic infection.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    The drug for topical application does not have a systemic effect on the body.

    Indications:

    It is used to treat purulent wounds, burns, bedsores, osteomyelitis, phlegmon, empyema, boils, carbuncles, pyoderma, inflammatory diseases of the throat and ear. Used as a paste for local contraception.

    Preparation of an aqueous solution: 2% alcohol solution in dilution 100-200 times with ordinary or distilled water. With a dilution of 25-50 times in lanolin, castor oil and fish oil, a fat solution is obtained.

    Parenteral application is not permissible - gramicidin C causes hemolysis and phlebitis.
