    R.02.A   Drugs for the treatment of throat diseases

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Combined drug for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the throat and oral cavity.

    The composition of the drug includes an antimicrobial agent gramicidin C and antiseptic - cetylpyridinium chloride. The mechanism of action of gramicidin C is associated with an increase in the permeability of the cytoplasmic membrane of the microbial cell, which violates its stability and causes death. Gramicidin C has an antibacterial effect against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms. Cetylpyridinium chloride refers to antiseptic agents, inhibits growth and reproduction of pathogens of infectious diseases of the mouth and throat. The drug has an antimicrobial effect, reduces inflammation, softens discomfort in the throat, facilitates swallowing.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    The drug is topical. According to the data of preclinical studies of pharmacokinetics, there is practically no absorption.

    Indications:

    Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat: pharyngitis, tonsillitis, periodontitis, gingivitis, stomatitis.

    Contraindications:

    -Increased sensitivity to gramicidin C, cetylpyridinium chloride and other components of the drug;

    - Pregnancy (I trimester);

    -period of lactation;

    -Children under 18 years of age.

    Carefully:

    Pregnancy (II-III trimester).

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Before using the drug, if you are pregnant or think that you might be pregnant, or plan a pregnancy, you should consult a doctor. Adequate controlled studies of the use of the drug in pregnancy have not been conducted. The use of the drug in the first trimester of pregnancy is contraindicated. Application of the drug in II-III trimester of pregnancy is possible if the potential benefit to the mother exceeds the possible risk to the fetus.

    There is no data on the penetration of the components of the drug into breast milk. If it is necessary to use the drug during lactation, breastfeeding should be stopped.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Locally, by spraying on the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat. It is used after eating.

    Dosage for adults: 4 injections per application 3 times a day for 7 days. Immediately after using the drug should refrain from eating food and drink for 1 hour.

    If there is no improvement after treatment, or the symptoms worsen, or new symptoms appear, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

    Use the drug only according to the indications, the method of administration and the doses indicated in the instructions.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions to the drug components are possible.

    If you have side effects indicated in the instructions, or are aggravated, or if you notice any other side effects not listed in the instructions, tell your doctor.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: the use of the drug in doses exceeding the recommended levels can cause disorders of the gastrointestinal tract: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Treatment: should stop using the drug and consult a doctor.

    Interaction:

    At present, no cases of clinically significant interaction with other drugs have been described.

    Special instructions:

    Do not use the drug in the presence of open wounds in the mouth, because cetylpyridinium chloride slows healing of wounds.

    The preparation contains ethanol. In the maximum single dose of the drug, the ethanol content is up to 0.08 g.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:

    The drug does not affect the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities,requiring special attention and speed of reactions (driving and other vehicles, working with moving mechanisms, dispatcher and operator work, etc.).

    Form release / dosage:

    Spray dosed for topical use of 0.06 mg + 0.1 mg / dose.

    Packaging:

    On 112 doses in bottles aluminum or glass, covered with plastic, equipped with a pump and pressure device with a folding cannula.

    Storage conditions:
