    Pharmacodynamics:

    Combined drug, the effect of which is due to its constituent components; has a local irritating, anti-inflammatory, analgesic effect.

    Camphor - a medicinal product of plant origin, has antiseptic, local irritating, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. Exciting sensitive nerve endings of the skin, dilates the blood vessels and improves the trophism of organs and tissues.

    Methylsalicylate has anti-inflammatory and local analgesic effect; rapecentol with topical application has a local irritant effect; benzyl nicotinate expands the superficial blood vessels, improving the blood flow of the skin and subcutaneous tissues.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Active substances quickly penetrate into the skin and subcutaneous tissues. Due to the low concentration of active ingredients in the cream (camphor 2%, methyl salicylate, benzyl nicotinate, rapecentol 1%), the degree of penetration into the systemic blood flow is negligible, which ensures local action in the focus of inflammation.

    When applied to the surface of the skin, the active ingredients are partially absorbed; metabolized in the liver, excreted mainly by the kidneys.

    Indications:
    • Arthralgia, neuralgia, sciatica, sciatica, lumbago;
    • muscular pain (myalgia) of rheumatic and non-rheumatic origin;
    • posttraumatic inflammation of soft tissues and joints.
    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug and to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), violation of the integrity of the skin, eczema, dermatitis; pregnancy and lactation; age to 16 years.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Due to the lack of data on the clinical use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation, it is not recommended to use Camphart® during pregnancy and lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Outwardly.

    Adults and children over 16 years of age are applied a thin layer and gently rubbed into the skin of the affected area 3-4 times a day. For one application, squeeze a strip of cream about 2 cm long, the cream can be applied simultaneously to no more than 2 skin areas; The application area for the area should not exceed the area of ​​two palms. The course of treatment is not more than 7-8 days.

    Side effects:

    Possible: allergic skin reactions (urticaria); skin irritation; photosensitization; headache, dizziness, tinnitus, nausea, vomiting and contact dermatitis.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: a potential hazard in the local application of the cream is the occurrence of severe irritation, allergic contact dermatitis and anaphylactic reactions.In case of accidental ingestion of the drug inside or when applied to the mucous membrane, especially the nose, children may develop toxic reactions.

    Symptoms of intoxication are nausea, vomiting, headache, convulsions, delirium, suppression of the central nervous system and coma.

    Due to the presence of camphor in the composition of the respiratory depression, which is accompanied by a characteristic odor, anuria can develop.

    Treatment: rinse the stomach, take a laxative and activated charcoal. Do not induce vomiting. If there are seizures intravenously diazepam or short-acting barbiturates (sodium thiopental).

    Interaction:

    Methylsalicylate (when absorbed from the surface of the skin) can enhance the effect of anticoagulants, methotrexate.

    Special instructions:

    It should be used only externally!

    It is necessary to avoid getting the drug in the eyes, it is impossible to apply to sensitive areas of the skin, including in the face (especially the nose).

    In case of contact with the cream on sensitive areas of the skin, immediately flush the preparation with plenty of running water.

    If the eyes get into the mucous membrane, the cream should be washed off with plenty of water.

    After applying the cream, you should thoroughly wash your hands if they are not the object of treatment.

    On the area on which the cream is applied, do not apply warming compresses, and the cream is not applied to the pre-heated skin. Treated skin cream areas must be protected from sunlight in connection with the likelihood of signs of photosensitivity. AT In case of accidental ingestion, consult a doctor.
