    Pharmacodynamics:

    Has an analeptic, antiaggregational, antiseptic, local irritant effect. With subcutaneous injection stimulates the respiratory and vasomotor center of the medulla oblongata. Strengthens metabolic processes in the myocardium, increases sensitivity to sympathetic influences. Increases the tone of venous vessels, improves coronary blood flow and blood supply to the brain and lungs. Promotes improvement of rheological properties of blood, suppressing platelet aggregation. Improves the separation of sputum, secreting from the body through the respiratory tract.

    With external application shows analgesic, local irritant, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect. Reflexively improves the trophism of tissues and organs by excitation of nerve endings of the skin.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Absorption is complete and fast. Penetrates through the placental and blood-brain barrier.

    Metabolism in the liver by hydrolysis to obtain hydroxycamor, which binds to glucuronic acid.

    Elimination by the kidneys (70%), lungs (20%), bile (10%).

    Indications:

    It is administered subcutaneously in case of collapse, oppression of the respiratory center, heart failure, poisoning with medicines and opiates.

    It is used as an external remedy for neuralgia, myositis, prophylaxis of pressure sores.

    Contraindications:

    For subcutaneous administration: epilepsy.

    For external use: ndestruction of skin.

    Individual intolerance.

    Carefully:

    Children's age, pregnancy, lactation.

    Pregnancy and lactation:Recommendations for FDA - category is not defined. Penetrates through the placental barrier and is excreted with milk. It is used in pregnancy with caution.
    Dosing and Administration:Children 1-3 times a day.

    Up to 1 year: 0.5-1 ml;

    1-2 years: 1 ml;

    3-6 years: 1.5 ml;

    7-9 years: 2 ml;

    10-14 years: 2.5 ml.

    Adults
    Subcutaneously: 1-2 ml every 2-3 hours, or 4-5 ml 1-2 times / day. Before injection, the drug should be heated to the temperature of the human body.

    Outwardly: rub in the skin.

    The highest daily dose: 10 ml.

    The highest single dose: 5 ml.

    Side effects:

    Systemic reactions often occur in children.

    Central and peripheral nervous system: headache, central nervous system depression, delirium, coma, epileptiform seizures, collapse when applying the drug to the nostrils area.

    Respiratory system: shortness of breath, respiratory failure.

    Urinary system: anuria.

    Dermatological reactions: infiltration at the injection site.

    Allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Symtomas: respiratory insufficiency, status epilepticus.

    Treatment: symptomatic, using antiepileptic drugs.

    Interaction:

    Clinically significant interactions are not described.

    Special instructions:

    It is not recommended to use preparations containing camphor, for treatment of cholelithiasis and urolithiasis, urinary tract infections.
