Camphor alcohol - instructions for use, doses, side effects, contraindications

Has a local irritating, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect. Excites sensitive nerve endings of the skin, reflexively improves the trophism of organs and tissues.

Pharmacokinetics:

When applied to the surface of the skin is partially absorbed, subjected to oxidation. Oxidation products are combined with gluconic acid and are excreted by the kidneys. Part of camphor is excreted unchanged in the form of light and bile.

Indications:

Myalgia, myositis, arthralgia, sciatica, prevention of bedsore formation.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug, violation of the integrity of the skin or inflammatory skin diseases at the site of the intended application (including dermatitis, eczema), pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, children under 18 years.

Pregnancy and lactation:

The use of the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is contraindicated.

Dosing and Administration:

Outwardly. Myalgia, myositis, arthralgia, sciatica: applied to the skin over the affected area 2-3 times a day. Duration of treatment is 7-10 days.

Prophylaxis for the formation of pressure sores: treatment of the skin 2-3 times a day.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions (urticaria), skin irritation, headache, dizziness.

Overdose:

Symptoms: agitation, tachycardia, convulsions.

Treatment: symptomatic.

The solution is intended for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes.
