    Characteristic

    Columns and stigmas of corn contain vitamin K ascorbic, pantothenic acid, carotenoids, saponins, resinous substances, essential oil, macro- and microelements and other biologically active substances.

    Description:

    Ground raw materials. Filiform pieces of sticks and stigmas passing through a sieve with holes of 7 mm. The color is brown, brownish-red, light yellow. The smell is weak, peculiar. Taste of water extract with a sensation of mucous.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Decoction of stalks with stigmas of corn has a choleretic effect, has diuretic properties.

    Indications:

    Chronic hepatitis, noncalculous cholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia, edematous syndrome associated with impaired renal function.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, cholelithiasis, pregnancy, lactation, children under 12 years.

    Dosing and Administration:

    To prepare the decoction, 10 g (3 tablespoons) of raw materials are placed in enameled pots, poured into 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 30 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 10 minutes, filtered, left raw materials squeeze out. The volume of the resulting broth is brought to 200 ml with boiled water.

    Adults take 1-3 tablespoons every 3-4 hours.

    The broth is shaken before use.
