    Composition:

    Active substance: methionine 250 mg.

    Excipients (core): potato starch - 13.99 mg, methyl cellulose - 2.36 mg, microcrystalline cellulose - 60.35 mg, stearic acid - 3.30 mg.

    Auxiliary substances (film sheath): hypromellose - 5.367 mg, titanium dioxide - 2.43 mg, dye azorubin - 0,003 mg, polysorbate-80 - 1,20 mg, povidone (polyvinylpyrrolidone) -1,00 mg.

    Description:

    The tablets are round, biconvex, without risks, covered with a film envelope of pink or light pink color. On the cross-section, two layers are visible: a white or almost white core and a film cover of pink or light pink.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Has a metabolic, hepatoprotective effect. Methionine - an indispensable amino acid - is necessary for the synthesis of choline, the deficiency of which is associated with a violation of the synthesis of phospholipids from fats and the deposition of neutral fat in the liver. He is the donor of the methyl group.

    Participates in the biosynthesis of carnitine, cysteine, taurine, lecithin, phosphatidylcholine and other phospholipids. Violation of biotransformation of methionine can lead to atherosclerosis.

    Methionine is one of the most important amino acids necessary for protein biosynthesis.

    It is necessary for detoxification of some xenobiotics.

    Pharmacokinetics:Easily absorbed from the intestine. It is excreted in small quantities in urine.
    Indications:

    As part of complex therapy: liver disease that occurs with fatty infiltration of hepatocytes - toxic hepatitis, hepatosis (including alcohol), liver cirrhosis is easyth and of moderate severity.

    Prevention of toxic liver damage by arsenic, chloroform, benzene.

    In the combination therapy: protein deficiency of various origin.
    Contraindications:

    Viral hepatitis, severe hepatic insufficiency, hepatic encephalopathy, hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, children under 6 years of age.

    Carefully:Renal failure (risk of hyperaemia).
    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Studies confirming the safety of methionine for the fetus during its use during pregnancy and safety for the child whenapplication in the period of breastfeeding, was not carried out.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, 30-60 minutes before meals.

    Adults: 500-1500 mg 3-4 times a day.

    Allergic reactions, nausea, vomiting.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: decrease in arterial pressure, tachycardia, confusion.
