    Composition:

    Composition per one tablet:

    Active ingredient - betagistin hydrochloride 8 mg

    Excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, polyvidone, silicon dioxide, talc.

    Composition per 100 ml of solution of drops:

    Active ingredient - betagistine hydrochloride - 1.25 mg

    Excipients: glycerol, ethanol, glycine, sodium saccharinate, benzoic acid, sodium edetate, propyl gallate, orange flavor, purified water.

    Description:

    Drops, a clear, colorless or light yellow solution with the smell of orange.

    Tablets: round white in color.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Betagistin dihydrochloride is a synthetic analog of histamine. Has a histamine-stimulating and vasodilatable effect on the inner ear receptors and vestibular nuclei of the central nervous system.Improves microcirculation in the inner ear. Increases blood flow in the inner ear and in the basilar arteries. With the stabilization of the labyrinth blood flow, endolymphatic pressure is restored both in the labyrinth and in the cochlear apparatus of the inner ear, which leads to a reduction in the subjective sensation of dizziness.

    Although betagistin is a histamine-like substance, it does not cause violations of capillary permeability, changes in blood pressure, does not affect the tone of smooth muscles and internal organs and the secretion of gastric juice.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Suction: When ingestion, the GI tract is rapidly absorbed. The maximum concentration of the drug in the blood plasma is determined by the beginning of the third hour after administration.

    Metabolism: Betagistin dihydrochloride is metabolized to 2-pyridylacetic acid.

    Excretion: It is excreted by the kidneys. Removal of the drug almost completely stops after 24 hours after administration.

    Indications:

    - Dizziness of various genesis (with osteochondrosis of the cervical spine, vertebrobasilar insufficiency, atherosclerosis of cerebral vessels, after craniocerebral trauma, surgical operations on the brain, psychosomatic nature, idiopathic);

    - Meniere's disease.

    Contraindications:

    - Stomach ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the phase of exacerbation;

    - pheochromocytoma;

    - lactation (breastfeeding);

    - childhood;

    - Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

    Carefully:With caution appoint patients with bronchial asthma, as well as patients with an indication of an anamnesis for peptic ulcer of the stomach or duodenum.
    Pregnancy and lactation:During pregnancy, the drug is used strictly according to indications under the direct supervision of a specialist. The drug is contraindicated for use during lactation (breastfeeding).
    Dosing and Administration:

    The drug should be taken with food.

    Pills: appoint 1 tablet 2-4 times a day.

    Drops: 16 drops (8 mg), diluted in water 2 - 4 times / day.

    Side effects:

    From the digestive tract: nausea, vomiting.

    From the side of the central nervous system: headache.

    Allergic reactions: skin rash.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, headache, increased blood pressure.

    Treatment is symptomatic. Specific antidotes are unknown.

    Interaction:It is not recommended to appoint the Microscope simultaneously with antihistamines, which reduce its effect.

    Pills - 10 tablets in blisters of PVC base, hermetically sealed thermally with aluminum foil; 5 blisters together with instructions for use are enclosed in a cardboard box.
