    Composition:

    1 ml of the preparation contains:

    active substance: oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.5 mg;

    Excipients: racemtol (menthol racemic) 0.4 mg, eucalyptus rosaceous leaf oil (eucalyptus oil) 0.4 mg, disodium edetate dihydrate (disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, trilon B) 0.5 mg, sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate (sodium dihydrogen phosphate dibasic 12- aqueous) 28.0 mg, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate (sodium phosphate monosubstituted 2-water) 12.5 mg, propylene glycol 100.0 mg, benzyl alcohol 10.0 mg, water for injection up to 1.0 ml.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    An anticongestive agent (alpha-adrenostimulating agent) for topical application. Oxymetazoline hydrochloride causes narrowing of the vessels of the mucous membranes of the nose, paranasal sinuses and eustachian tubes, which causes a soft and prolonged decrease in their edema and leads to a reduction in nasal breathing. Remedy for catarrh.

    Menthol, eucalyptus oil has a local decongestant,anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect, dilute thick mucus and improve its outflow from the paranasal sinuses, and also increase the duration of action of the drug.

    Relief of nasal breathing occurs 15 minutes after injection and lasts for 8-12 hours.

    Pharmacokinetics:With topical application, systemic absorption is low.
    Indications:

    Rhinitis of allergic and infectious-inflammatory etiology, sinusitis, eustachiitis, hay fever.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity, atrophic rhinitis, pregnancy, lactation period, children's age (up to 6 years).

    Carefully:

    Chronic heart failure, arrhythmias, severe atherosclerosis, arterial hypertension, thyrotoxicosis, diabetes mellitus, chronic renal failure, angle-closure glaucoma.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The use of the drug is contraindicated in pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Intranasally.

    Adults and children over 12 years of age - 2-3 injections in each nasal passage with an interval of 10-12 hours.

    Children from 6 to 12 years - 1 injection in each nasal passage.

    Side effects:

    Transient dryness and burning of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, dry mouth and throat, sneezing; increased blood pressure, increased anxiety, nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, palpitations, sleep disturbances.

    With prolonged use - tachyphylaxis, reactive hyperemia of the mucosa and atrophy of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: using intranasal - tachycardia, increased blood pressure, suppression of the central nervous system.

    Treatment: symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Slows the absorption of local anesthetic drugs, lengthens their action.

    Co-administration of other vasoconstrictive drugs increases the risk of side effects.

    With the simultaneous appointment of monoamine oxidase blockers and tricyclic antidepressants, an increase in blood pressure.

    Special instructions:

    In the recommended dosage without consulting a doctor, you can use no more than 3 days.

    Avoid getting the drug intended for intranasal administration in the eyes.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:Since the drug has an effect on vision, it is possible to reduce the reaction rate, so during treatment should refrain from driving and other potentially dangerous activities that require rapid reactions.

    Spray nasal, 0.05%.
