    Pharmacodynamics:
    The main active ingredient of Ocomistin®, eye drops, is the antiseptic Benzyldimethyl-myristoylamino-propylammonium, which has a pronounced antimicrobial effect against Gram-positive and Gram-negative, aerobic and anaerobic bacteria in the form of monocultures and microbial associations, including hospital strains with multiresistance to antibiotics. The drug acts on chlamydia, pathogenic fungi, as well as herpes viruses,adenoviruses. The drug is more effective against gram-positive bacteria, including: staphylococci, streptococci. The drug reduces the resistance of bacteria and fungi to antibiotics.

    Indications:
    Okikostin®, eye drops, is recommended for acute and chronic conjunctivitis, blepharoconjunctivitis, keratitis, keratouveitis; in the preoperative and postoperative periods for the prevention of purulent-inflammatory complications, as well as in the treatment of eye injuries.
    In pediatric practice, in children from the age of 3 years is used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis.
    Contraindications:
    Hypersensitivity to the drug.
    Children up to 3 years.
    The use of the drug in children from the age of 3 is possible according to the indication of bacterial conjunctivitis, according to the remaining indications, the restriction remains at the age of 18 years. Pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding.
    Dosing and Administration:Locally. With the therapeutic purpose, Ocomistin®, ophthalmic drops, is buried in the conjunctival sac 1-2 drops 4-6 times a day before clinical recovery. From the preventive purpose the drug is instilled for 2-3 days before the operation, and also within 10-15 days after the operation, 1-2 drops 3 times a day.In pediatric practice, for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis in children from the age of 3 years, Okomistin® is instilled in the conjunctival sac but I drop to 6 times a day for 7-10 days.
    Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible. In some cases, there may be a slight burning sensation, discomfort, which pass independently after 15-20 seconds and does not require drug withdrawal.
    Interaction:Studies of drug interaction with other drugs have not been conducted.
    Special instructions:Contact lenses should be removed immediately before instillation of Ocomistin®, eye drops and donning at least 15 minutes after instillation. During the treatment period it is necessary to refrain from driving motor vehicles and from engaging in other potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration of attention, rapidity of psychomotor reactions and good vision within 30 minutes after instillation into the eye.

    Okomistin ", eye drops, 1 ml or 1.5 ml per disposable polymer tube-droppers, 5 or 10 ml each in polymer bottles,corked with a stopper and a screw cap screwed with the control of the first autopsy; to 20 ml in glass bottles, ukuporennyh rubber stopper and aluminum cap or polyethylene lid-dropper.
