Wormwood bitter grass - instructions for use, dose, side effects, contraindications

A mixture of pieces of stems, leaves, inflorescences passing through a sieve with holes 2 mm in diameter. Color grayish green. The smell is fragrant, peculiar, strong. The taste of water extract is spicy-bitter.

A.15 Appetizers stimulating appetite

Pharmacodynamics:Strengthens the secretion of gastric juice, increases appetite, improves digestion. Possesses choleretic properties.

Indications:

To stimulate appetite and improve the function of the organs of the gastrointestinal tract (hypo- and anacid gastritis) and, as a cholagogue, in noncalculous cholecystitis, dyskinesia of the bile duct along the hypomotor type.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug. Increased gastric secretion, hyperacid gastritis, peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer, reflux esophagitis, acute cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, pregnancy, lactation, children's age (up to 12 years).

Dosing and Administration:

2 filter bags are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover with a lid and insist for 15 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 100 ml with boiled water.

Take in the form of a warm: adults and children over 12 years of 1/4 cup 3 times a day for 30 minutes before eating.Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, heartburn, gastralgia, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting (with prolonged use).

Overdose:

Symptoms: tremor, headache, dizziness, hallucinations, convulsions.

Treatment: symptomatic.

Storage conditions:

Store in a dry place protected from light.

Shelf life:
