Wormwood bitter grass - instructions for use, dose, side effects, contraindications

Pharmacodynamics: Characteristic.

The herb wormwood contains bitter glycosides (absintine), flavonoids, essential oil, tannins and other biologically active substances.

Pharmachologic effect.

Infusion of herb wormwood increases the secretion of gastric juice, increases appetite, improves digestion, and has choleretic properties.

Indications:

To increase appetite and improve the function of the gastrointestinal tract: hypo- and anacid gastritis; chronic cholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug and other plants of the family Astrological; increased gastric secretion, hyperacid gastritis, peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer, reflux esophagitis, acute cholecystitis, calculous cholecystitis; pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, children under 12 years.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Contraindicated use of the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Dosing and Administration:

About 10 g (2 tablespoons) of herb wormwood grass is placed in enameled dishes, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water,close the lid and heat in a boiling water bath with periodic stirring for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

Infusion is taken orally in a warm form by 1/4 cup 3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. The course of treatment is 20-25 days.

Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

Side effects:

Possible allergic reactions, heartburn, gastralgia, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting (with prolonged use).

Overdose:

Symptoms: tremor, headache, dizziness, hallucinations, convulsions. Treatment: symptomatic.

Storage conditions:
