Pharmacodynamics:

Wormwood bitter grass contains bitterness (absintine), essential oils (thujone, thujol, fellandren), sesquiterpene lactones, flavonoids, tannins.

Strengthens the secretion of gastric juice, increases appetite, improves digestion.

Possesses choleretic properties.

Indications:

To stimulate appetite, improve digestion and as a cholagogue for diseases of the liver and gallbladder.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug. Increased gastric secretion, hyperacid gastritis, peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the acute stage, reflux esophagitis, acute cholecystitis, pregnancy, lactation, children's age (up to 12 years).

Dosing and Administration:

About 10 grams (2 tablespoons) of ground grass are placed in enameled pots, poured into 200 ml (1 cup) of boiling water, covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw material squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

Take inside in a warm form for 1/4 cup 3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, heartburn, gastralgia, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting (with prolonged use).

Overdose:

Symptoms: tremor, headache, dizziness, hallucinations, convulsions.

Treatment: symptomatic.
