Motherwort herb - instructions for use, doses, side effects, contraindications

Pieces of stems, peduncles, leaves and inflorescences. Color from greyish-green to brownish-green with numerous whitish, yellowish-white, greyish-white, pinkish-violet, grayish-pink impregnations. The smell is weak. The taste of water extract is bitterish.

Pharmacodynamics:

Motherwort herb contains flavonoids, iridoids, glycosides, tannins, nitrogenous bases and other biologically active substances.

The infusion of the motherwort herb has a pronounced sedative effect, possesses gunsensitive properties, slows down the rhythm and increases the strength of heartbeats.

Indications:

Increased nervous excitability, sleep disturbance, neurasthenia, neurocirculatory dystonia.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy, children under 12 years.

Dosing and Administration:

2 filter packets (3.0 g) are placed in enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and insist for 15 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 100 ml with boiled water. Take inside 1/2 cup 3 times a day for 1 hour before meals.

Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions are possible.

Interaction:

Compatible with other sedatives; enhances the effect of hypnotics and other medications that depress the central nervous system.

Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:With prolonged use of the drug in large doses, it is possible to reduce psychomotor reactions - caution should be exercised when driving vehicles, working with mechanisms, etc.

1,5 g of powder in filter bags; for 10 or 20 filter bags in a pack of cardboard.
