    Composition:

    In a single dose (0.1 ml) preparation.

    Active substance: alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan (Timogen sodium in terms of thymogen) 25 μg.

    Excipients: sodium chloride 900 μg, benzalkonium chloride 10 μg, water purified to 0.1 ml.

    Description:Colorless transparent liquid. It is possible to have a characteristic smell of benzalkonium chloride.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Has a regulating effect on the response of cellular, humoral immunity and nonspecific resistance of the organism. Stimulates regeneration processes in case of their inhibition. Improves the course of the processes of cellular metabolism. Enhances the expression of differentiating receptors on lymphocytes, normalizes the number of T-helpers, cytotoxic T-lymphocytes and their ratio in patients with various immunodeficiency states.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    The drug quickly enters the systemic bloodstream after its intranasal administration.Alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan sodium under the action of peptidases is split into L-glutamic acid and L-tryptophan, which are involved in peptide synthesis in the body.

    Indications:

    -Prevention and complex therapy of acute and chronic viral and bacterial diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

    -Prevention of oppression of immunity, hematopoiesis, regeneration processes in post-traumatic and postoperative periods.

    -Complex adjuvant therapy for the purpose of correction of secondary immunodeficiency in radiation therapy, chemotherapy and antibiotic therapy.

    -Complex therapy of acute and chronic infectious-inflammatory diseases, accompanied by a decrease in immunity.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Locally.

    Hold the bottle with your thumb over the base, and the nozzle of the dosing device between the middle and index fingers. Insert the injector nozzle into the nasal passage in the upright position. Press the nozzle once.

    The drug is administered intranasally (in the nose) in doses:

    Adults: 1 dose (one injection) in each nasal passage 2 times a day for 10 days with a therapeutic purpose or within 3-5 days with a preventive purpose.

    Children: from 1 year to 6 years 1 dose in one nasal passage 1 time per day, from 7 to 14 years, 1 dose in each nasal passage 1 time per day. The drug is used for 10 days with a therapeutic purpose or within 3-5 days with a preventive purpose. The repeated course of Timogen is conducted not earlier than in 1 month.
