    Composition:Thyme Grass
    Description:
    A mixture of pieces of thin stems, leaves and flowers passing through a sieve with holes of 5 mm. Pieces of stems are greenish or yellowish brown in color, sometimes with a purple hue. The leaves are green or grayish green whole and in the form of pieces of various shapes. The flowers are small, solitary with a corolla of a bluish-violet color and a reddish-brown calyx, often crushed. The scent is fragrant. The taste of the water extract is bitterish-spicy.

    Pharmacodynamics:
    Infusion of herbs of thyme exposes an expectorant, antimicrobial effect.

    Indications:
    Infusion of herbs of thyme is used inside as an expectorant for inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract - laryngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, bronchopneumonia; locally - for rinses with inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx.

    Contraindications:
    Individual intolerance, liver and kidney disease, gastritis with high acidity, peptic ulcer of stomach and duodenum, period of pregnancy and breastfeeding, children under 12 years.

    Dosing and Administration:
    About 4 g (1 tablespoon) of herb thyme is placed in an enamel
    utensils, pour 100 ml (1 / 2.staka) of hot boiled water, heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 100 ml with boiled water.
    Adults and children over 12 years old take in 1 tablespoon each
    2 3 times a day before meals.
    To rinse the mouth and throat, apply a 1 / 2-1 glass of infusion
    3-4 times a day in a warm form.
