Pharmacodynamics:

It has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system, increases the overall nonspecific resistance of the organism, improves appetite, improves physical and mental performance.

Indications:

Mental and physical fatigue, asthenic states of various etiologies, neurasthenia, arterial hypotension, during recovery after infectious diseases and postoperative period.

Contraindications:

Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, arterial hypertension (high blood pressure pressure), heart rhythm disturbance, myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular pathology, increased excitability, epilepsy, insomnia, acute infectious diseases, chronic liver disease, pregnancy, lactation period, children's age up to 12 years.

Dosing and Administration:

The drug is used inside before meals in the morning. Adults appoint 20-30 drops 2-3 times a day. Children over 12 years - in a dose of 1 drop per year of life. The course of treatment is 25-30 days. If necessary, repeat courses with two-week breaks (or without them) after consulting a doctor.

Side effects:

In rare cases, allergic reactions, tachycardia, headache, insomnia, hypoglycemia are possible.

Overdose:

When using the drug in doses exceeding the recommended, it is possible to increase the side effects. Treatment: symptomatic.

Interaction:

Preparations of eleutherococcus intensify the action of stimulants and analeptics (caffeine, camphor, phenamine, etc.), are physiological antagonists of agents,oppressing the central nervous system (including neuroleptics, barbiturates, tranquilizers, anticonvulsants)

With simultaneous use with digoxin, an increase in the concentration in the blood plasma of the latter is possible; with hypoglycemic drugs (including insulin) and anticoagulants may enhance the effect.

Special instructions:

The drug should not be taken in the afternoon to avoid insomnia.

When hypoglycemia occurs, it is recommended to reduce the dose of the drug, take it after a meal or cancel the drug.

The maximum single dose of the drug contains 0.43 grams of absolute alcohol, the maximum daily dose of the drug - 1.4 grams of absolute alcohol.
