    Vaginal suppositories

    Composition:

    Active substance: Benzalkonium chloride 18.9 mg.

    Excipients: lavender oil, or rose oil, or lemon oil, lipophilic base (solid fat with the addition of glycerol monooleate).

    Description:Suppositories white with a slightly yellowish hue of color with the smell of lavender or with the smell of a rose, or with the smell of lemon, a bullet-shaped form.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Benzalkonium chloride is a surface active cationic substance whose spermatocidal effect is due to the ability to damage the membranes of spermatozoa (at the beginning of the flagella, then the heads), which makes it impossible to fertilize with damaged spermatozoa. The effect develops through 5 mni after the introduction into the vagina. Does not affect the normal microflora of the vagina (including Dodderlein's stick) and the hormonal background.

    In vitro active with respect to Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia spp., Trichomonas vaginalis, Herpes simplex a type 2, Staphylococcus aureus. He has an impact on Mycoplasma spp. and has little effect on Gardnerella vaginalis, Candida albicans, Haemophilus ducreyi and Treponema pallidum.

    Pharmacokinetics:Virtually not absorbed when intravaginal introduction, adsorbed on the mucous membrane of the vagina and cervix, removed by simple washing with water and with normal physiological secretions.
    Indications:Local contraception for women of reproductive age (including if there are contraindications to the use of oral contraceptives or intrauterine contraception, in the postpartum period, lactation, after pregnancy termination, perimenopause, irregular sexual intercourse, missed or late receipt of continuously used oral contraceptives).
    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, vaginitis, ulceration and irritation of the mucous membrane of the vagina and cervix.
    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Pregnancy: The drug is a contraceptive, during pregnancy is not used. When pregnancy comes on the background of contraception benzalkoniya chloride, the effect on the course of pregnancy is not found.

    Lactation period: It is not excreted in breast milk, it can be used during lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Intravaginal.

    Lying on the back, the suppository is injected deep into the vagina no later than 5 minutes before the act's sex: the duration of the action is 4 hours.

    1 suppository is designed for 1 sexual intercourse. It is obligatory to introduce a new suppository with each repeated intercourse.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions, contact dermatitis, itching and burning in the vagina and / or penis partner, painful urination.

    If any adverse side reaction occurs, consult a doctor as soon as possible.

    If any of the side effects listed in the manual are aggravated, or if you notice any other side effects not listed in the instructions, tell your doctor.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms of overdose are not described.

    Interaction:

    Any medicinal product, as well as soap and solutions containing it, introduced itravaginally, can reduce the spermicidal effect of the drug. Iodine solutions (including 0.1% iodonate solution) inactivate the drug.

    Special instructions:

    To increase the efficiency, careful compliance with the method of application of the preparation is necessary. Possible application in conjunction with the vaginal diaphragm, condom or intrauterine contraceptives. Avoid washing or watering the vagina with soapy water, as soap destroys the active substance of the drug (outdoor toilet is possible only with clean water). Do not use douching within 2 hours after sexual intercourse!

    Suppositories are vaginal.

    5 suppositories are placed in a contour mesh package made of a polyvinyl chloride film.

    One or two contour packs with instructions for use in a cardboard box.

    Storage conditions:
