It shows bactericidal activity against staphylococci, streptococci, gram-negative bacteria (intestinal and pseudomonas aeruginosa, gonococcus, proteus, Klebsiella and others), anaerobic bacteria, fungi and molds. It acts on strains of bacteria resistant to antibiotics and other chemotherapeutic drugs; suppresses plasmacoagulase and hyaluronidase of staphylococci.

Spermicidal action is due to the ability to damage the membrane of spermatozoa (at the beginning of the flagella, then the head), which makes it impossible to fertilize the damaged sperm.The effect develops 5 minutes after the introduction of the vaginal tablet.

It is active in the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomoniasis). Does not affect the normal microflora of the vagina (including the Doderylein wand) and the hormonal cycle.

Pharmacokinetics:Benzalkonium chloride practically not absorbed by the mucous membrane of the vagina, it is absorbed only on the surface of the walls of the vagina. It is excreted with normal physiological excretions or is removed by simple washing with water.

Indications:

Local contraception for women of reproductive age (with contraindications to the use of oral contraceptives or intrauterine contraception, postpartum period, lactation period, post-abortion period, premenopausal period, need for occasional protection from pregnancy, missing or late receipt of continuously used oral contraceptives) .

Dosing and Administration:

Interaction:
