    Composition:

    1 suppository vaginal contains:

    Active substance: Benzalkonium chloride 18.9 mg

    Excipients: polyethylene glycol 1500, polyethylene glycol 6000, methylparaben, propylparaben, butylhydroxytoluene.

    Description:

    Almost white, homogeneous translucent suppositories of cylindrical shape with one oval end.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Contraceptive local (spermatocidal) remedy, also has antiseptic, antifungal, antiprotozoal, action; inactivates the virus Herpes simplex.

    It shows bactericidal activity against staphylococci, streptococci, gram-negative bacteria (intestinal and pseudomonas aeruginosa, gonococcus, proteus, klebsiella and others), anaerobic bacteria, fungi and molds. It acts on strains of bacteria resistant to antibiotics and other chemotherapeutic drugs; suppresses plasmacoagulase and hyaluronidase of staphylococci.

    Spermatocidal effect is due to the ability to damage the membranes of spermatozoa (at the beginning of the flagella, then the head), which makes it impossible to fertilize the damaged sperm.The effect develops 5 minutes after the introduction of the vaginal suppository.

    It is active in the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomoniasis). Does not affect the normal microflora of the vagina (including the Doderylein wand) and the hormonal cycle.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Virtually not absorbed with intravaginal injection, removed by simple water washing and with normal physiological secretions.

    Indications:

    Local contraception for women of reproductive age (contraindications to the use of oral contraceptives or intrauterine contraception, postpartum period, lactation period, period after abortion,

    pre-menopausal period; need for occasional protection from pregnancy; missing or late in the reception of constantly used oral contraceptives).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, colpitis, ulceration and irritation of the mucous membrane of the vagina and uterus.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Harmful effect on the course of pregnancy does not have. Do not excrete with breast milk, can be used during breastfeeding.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Preliminarily releasing the suppository from the package, inject it deep into the vagina in the supine position 5 minutes before the sexual intercourse; duration of action - 4 hours.

    Single dose: 1 suppository is designed for 1 sexual act. It is mandatory to introduce a new vaginal suppository in case of repeated sexual acts. The frequency of use is limited by the individual tolerability of the active substance and the frequency of sexual acts.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions (burning, itching); contact dermatitis.

    Interaction:

    Any drug administered intravaginally can reduce the local spermicidal effect (including soap and solutions containing it).

    Iodine solutions (including 0.1% iodonate solution) inactivate the drug.

    Special instructions:

    To increase the efficiency, careful compliance with the method of application of the preparation is necessary. Possible application in conjunction with the vaginal diaphragm or intrauterine contraception. After coition is not recommended intravaginal use of hygiene (douching with soapy water, because soap destroys the active substance of the drug) to avoid loss of contraceptive effect; it is possible an external toilet of genitals.

    Vaginal suppositories are 18.9 mg.

    Packaging:By 5, 6, 8, 10 or 12 suppositories in the blister of polyvinylchloride.

    1, 2, 3, 4, 5 blisters together with instructions for use are placed in a cardboard box.

    Storage conditions:

    In a dry and inaccessible place for children, at a temperature of no higher than 25 ° C.

    Shelf life:

    3 years. Do not use the product after the expiration date stated on the package!
