    Characteristic

    Buckthorn bark contains anthraglycosides and other biologically active substances.
    Description:The mixture of bark particles is yellowish brown with brown, dark brown, gray-brown, dark gray, gray and greenish interspersed. The smell is weak. The taste of water extract is bitterish.

    Pharmacodynamics:Infusion of the buckthorn bark has a laxative effect due to the presence of anthraglycosides, which irritate the receptors of the mucous membrane of the large intestine. The laxative effect usually occurs 8-12 hours after taking the drug.
    Indications:Chronic constipation.
    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the drug; constipation neurogenic and endocrine origin, spastic constipation, ileus, acute abdomen syndrome, appendicitis, enteritis, colitis, metrorrhagia, acute febrile illness; pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, children under 12 years.

    Dosing and Administration:

    4 filter packet (6.0 g) was placed in a glass or enameled pots, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and insist 15 minutes, periodically spoon pressing on the bags, were then drained. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 100 ml with boiled water.

    Infusion take inside in a warm form adults and children over 12 years of 1/2 cup at night and in the morning. The course of treatment is 1-2 weeks.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:Allergic reactions (rash), abdominal discomfort (bloating, cramping, nausea).
    Overdose:When possible overdose colicky abdominal pain, tenesmus, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Treatment: symptomatic.
    Interaction:Not described.
    Special instructions:With prolonged use of the drug buckthorn can develop addiction and weakening or lack of laxative effect, so it is advisable to alternate them with other laxatives. It is possible to stain the urine yellow, not requiring withdrawal of the drug. It is not recommended to take the product for a long time without consulting a doctor.

    The drug has no effect on the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities requiring increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (including driving, working with moving mechanisms).

    Form release / dosage:

    Bark powder. 1.5 grams of powder bark in filter bags, 10 filter bags or 20 filter bags in a pack of cardboard.

    Instructions for use, folded inward, inserted into the package or the text of the instruction is fully applied to the pack.
