    Composition:

    Buckthorn Buckthorn

    Characteristic

    Bark of buckthorn alder or buckthorn fragile contains anthraglikozidy (frangulin, glucofranugulin, frangulaemodine, chrysofic acid), tannins, organic acids, essential oil, sugars.

    Description:

    A mixture of yellowish-brown particles with brown and greenish impregnations passing through a sieve with holes 2 mm in size. The smell is weak. The taste of water extract is bitterish.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Infusion of the buckthorn bark has a laxative effect due to the presence of anthraglycosides, which irritate the receptors of the mucous membrane of the colon.The laxative effect usually occurs 8-12 hours after ingestion.

    Indications:Chronic constipation.
    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, constipation of neurogenic and endocrine origin, spastic constipation, intestinal obstruction, acute abdominal syndrome, appendicitis, enteritis, colitis, metrorrhagia, acute febrile conditions. Pregnancy, lactation, children under 12 years.

    Dosing and Administration:

    3 filter bags are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover with a lid and insist for 15 minutes. The filter bags are pressed, the volume of the obtained infusion is adjusted to 100 ml with water.

    Take 1/2 cups a night and in the morning.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions (skin rash, abdominal pain), staining of urine in yellow (due to the presence of chryphonic acid) are possible.

    Overdose:

    Colic pain in the abdomen, tenesmus. Treatment: symptomatic.

    It is not recommended to take the product for a long time without consulting a doctor.

    With prolonged use of drugs, habituation and weakening or the absence of a laxative effect may develop, so it is advisable to alternate them with other laxatives.

    Bark powder. 2.0 g in the filter bags. For 10 or 20 filter bags are placed in a pack of cardboard along with instructions for use.

    Prepared water extraction - in a dark cool place no more than 2 days. Keep out of the reach of children.
