Composition per one tablet: active substance: nystatin (in terms of active substance) - 500 000 units; Excipients: sucrose - 72 mg, calcium stearate - 2.4 mg, talc - 4.8 mg, potato starch - up to 240 mg (excluding shell); composition of the shell: methylcellulose (methocel A15) 3.163 mg, polysorbate 80 0.903 mg, titanium dioxide 0.903 mg, quinoline yellow E-104 dye 0.029522 mg, dye sunset yellow E-110 0.001478 mg.

Description:

Description: tablets of round shape with biconvex surface, film-coated, light yellow with a greenish tinge. On the cross-section, two layers are visible: the shell is light yellow with a greenish tint of color and the core is yellow or yellow with a brownish hue.

G.01.A.A.01 Nystatin

Pharmacodynamics:

Pharmacodynamics. Polyene antifungal antibiotic, highly active against yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida. In the structure of the antibiotic there are double bonds possessing high tropicity to the sterol structures of the cell membrane of the fungi, which facilitates the incorporation of the drug molecule into the cell membrane and the formation of a large number of channels through which uncontrolled transport of electrolytes; an increase in osmolarity within the cell leads to its death. Resistance develops very slowly.

Pharmacokinetics:Has a weak resorptive effect (almost not absorbed into the gastrointestinal tract). It is excreted through the intestine. Do not cumulate.

Indications:

Treatment and prevention of candidiasis of the gastrointestinal tract.

Prevention of fungal lesions in pre- and postoperative periods with surgical interventions on the gastrointestinal tract.

Contraindications:Hypersensitivity, children under 13 years (for this dosage form).

Pregnancy and lactation:

During pregnancy, use the drug only in those cases where the intended benefit to the mother exceeds the possible risk to the fetus.

If it is necessary to use during the lactation period, the question of stopping breastfeeding should be solved.

Dosing and Administration:

Inside, for 500000 units 3-4 times. The daily dose is 1500000-3000000 units, in severe cases - up to 4000000-6000000 units.

Children over the age of 13 - 250000-500000 units per day 3-4 times a day.

Duration of treatment is 10-14 days. The tablets are swallowed without chewing.

With chronic recurrent and generalized candidiasis, repeat courses are held with breaks of 2-3 weeks.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions: hives.

On the part of the organs of the gastrointestinal tract: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain.

Other: hyperthermia, chills.

Overdose:The phenomenon of overdose with the drug to date not are described. In case of suspected overdose, symptomatic therapy is performed.

Interaction:

With the simultaneous use of nystatin with clotrimazole, the activity of the latter decreases.

Special instructions:The use of the drug does not require special precautions.

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and other mechanisms.
