    Pharmacodynamics:

    Adapalene is a retinoid metabolite, has a comedonolytic and anti-inflammatory activity, normalizes the processes of keratinization and epidermal differentiation. The mechanism of action of adapalene is based on interaction with specific γ-receptors of skin epidermal cells. As a result of the action of adapaleon, in particular, there is a decrease in the "cohesion" of epithelial cells in the mouthe sebaceous-hair follicle and reducing the background for the formation of micro-comedones. Adapalen has anti-inflammatory effect in vivo and in vitro, Influencing factors of inflammation by inhibiting migration of leukocytes in the focus of inflammation and the metabolism of arachidonic acid.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Absorption of adapalene through the skin is very low (about 4 % applied dose) Excretion from the body occurs mainly with bile.


    Indications:

    Acne.

    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients of the drug.

    APPLICATION IN PEDIATRICS. Differin is intended for use in adults and children over 12 years of age.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    It is not recommended to use the drug during pregnancy.

    Differin can be used during breastfeeding. To avoid contact exposure to the baby, do not apply Differin on the skin of the breast.
    Dosing and Administration:

    Outwardly. With a gentle touch, apply the gel evenly to the affected area once a day before going to bed, on a clean, dry skin, avoiding contact with the eyes and lips.

    The therapeutic effect develops after 4-8 weeks of treatment, a persistent improvement after 3 months of treatment.

    In some cases, due to short-term skin irritation, the number of applications may be reduced or the treatment suspended until the signs of irritation disappear. Repeated treatment is possible after consultation with a doctor.

    Side effects:

    The frequency of adverse reactions is distributed in the following order: often (in 1% - 10% of cases); infrequently (in 0.1% - 1% of cases); rarely (in 0.01% - 0.1% of cases); very rarely (less than 0.01% of cases), including reports of single adverse events.

    Interaction:

    Since the drug does not interact with oxygen and does not break down under the action of light, it can be used with other local and systemic drugs for treatment acne, such as clindamycin phosphate or benzoyl peroxide.

    Be careful when sharing with drugs that provide irritating or drying effect, including preparations containing sulfur, resorcinol or salicylic acid (possibly increased side effects).

    Special instructions:

    Avoid getting the gel in the eyes and on the lips.

    If you accidentally get the drug on the mucous membranes of the eyes, mouth or nose, rinse them thoroughly with warm water.Avoid direct sunlight. may cause mild skin irritation. Treatment can be continued if the solar exposure is minimized (using sunglasses and hats).It is not recommended simultaneous use of cosmetics with drying or irritating effect on the skin (for example, perfume or alcohol-containing funds). Adapalene, applied to the skin in the evening, can be combined with drugs for the treatment of blackheads, applied in the morning.

    Packaging:

    Gel for external use 0.1% to 30 g in a low-density polyethylene tube, tightly screwed with polypropylene lid. One tube with instructions for use is placed in a cardboard box.
