Pharmacodynamics:

Natamycin, the active substance of the drug, is an antifungal polyene antibiotic of fungicidal action. Natamycin binds the sterols of cell membranes, violating their integrity and function, which leads to the death of microorganisms. Most pathogenic yeast fungi are sensitive to natamycin, especially Candida albicans, some protozoa (T.vaginalis). Dermatophytes are less sensitive.Resistance to natamycin among yeast fungi is not found in clinical practice.

Indications:

Fungal diseases of the skin and mucous membranes, caused by drug-susceptible pathogens, including:

Dosing and Administration:

When vulvitis, vulvovaginitis, balanoposthitis the cream is applied to the affected areas once or several times a day. With persistent flow vulvitis, vulvovaginitis, caused by Candida albicans In addition, Pimafucin is given in the form of tablets or vaginal suppositories.
