    Composition:

    per 100 g of ointment:

    active substance - tetracycline hydrochloride - 3.226 g;

    Excipients: lanolin (lanolin anhydrous), ceresin, sodium disulfite (sodium pyrosulfite), petroleum jelly.

    Note. The amount of tetracycline hydrochloride is indicated in the preparation with an activity of 930 μg / mg in terms of dry matter.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Bacteriostatic antibiotic of broad spectrum from the group of tetracyclines. Disrupts formation of a complex between transport RNA and ribosome, which leads to repression protein synthesis.

    Active against gram-positive microorganisms (Staphylococcus spp. in t.ch. producing penicillinase; Streptococcus spp. (in g.ch. Streptococcus pneumoniae), Haemophilus influenzae, Listeria spp., Bacillus anlhracis and Gram-negative 'microorganisms Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Bordetella pertussis Escherichu coli, Enterobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., and Rickettsia spp., Chlamydia spp., Mycoplasma spp., Treponema spp.

    Stable: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp., Serratia spp., most strains Bacteroides spp. and fungi, viruses, beta-hemolytic streptococcus group A (including 44% of strains Streptococcus pyogenes and 74 % strains Streptococcus faecalis).

    Pharmacokinetics:When applied to intact skin, practically nc is absorbed.
    Indications:

    - purulent infections of soft tissues

    - furunculosis

    - eczema infected

    - rash, acne rash

    - folliculitis

    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity, children's age (up to 11 years).
    Dosing and Administration:

    Outwardly. Ointment is applied to the affected areas of the skin 1-2 times a day (possibly the application of an occlusive dressing).


    Side effects:Allergic reactions: burning, flushing, swelling, or other signs of irritation.
    Special instructions:

    It is not recommended for use with deep or puncture wounds, severe burns, in ophthalmology (use 1 % ophthalmic ointment).

    It should be borne in mind that the use of antibacterial agents for external use can lead to sensitization of the body, accompanied by the development of reactions of hypersensitivity.

    If the condition does not improve within 2 weeks, you should consult your doctor.

    Adequate and strictly controlled studies in children under 11 years of age have not been conducted; doses for this category of patients are not defined.
