    Composition:

    1 g of ointment contains:

    active substance: tetracycline hydrochloride - 0.03 g (in terms of 100% dry substance);

    Excipients: lanolin (lanolin anhydrous) 0.03 g, paraffin solid (paraffin oil solid) - 0.01 g, ceresin - 0.045 g, sodium disulfite (sodium metabisulphite) - 0.0005 g, petroleum jelly - up to 1 g.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Bacteriostatic antibiotic from the group of tetracyclines. It disrupts the formation of a complex between the transport RNA and the ribosome, which leads to a violation of protein synthesis. Active with respect to Propionibacterium acnes (Corynebacterium acnes), gram-positive (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Haemophilus influenzae, Listeria spp., Bacillus anthracis) and Gram-negative microorganisms (Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Bordetella pertussis, Escherichia coli, Enterobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Salmonella spp., Shigella spp.), and Rickettsia spp., Chlamidia spp., Mycoplasma spp., Treponema spp.. Stable: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp., Serratia spp., most strains Bacteroides spp. and fungi, small viruses.

    Pharmacokinetics:When applied to intact skin, it is not practically absorbed.
    Indications:Purulent infections of soft tissues, furunculosis, eczema infected, acne, folliculitis.
    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, fungal skin diseases, children under 11 years.
    Dosing and Administration:

    Outwardly. Ointment is applied to the affected skin 1-2 times a day or used as a gauze dressing, followed by 12-24 hours. Duration of treatment - from several days to 2-3 weeks.

    Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible (itching, mild burning, redness of the skin), photosensitization.

    Ointment for external use 3% for 10 or 15 g in tubes of aluminum. Each tube together
    with instructions for medical use of the drug placed in a pack of cardboard.
