    Composition:
    100 g of syrup contain:
    active substance: thyme herb extract liquid alcohol 9.0 g;
    auxiliary substances: potassium sorbate 0.10 g, citric acid monohydrate 0.086 g, dye cerestar caramel (E150d) 0.20 g, glycerol 85% 20.00 g, sorbitol 45.00 g, purified water 25.62 g.

    Pharmacodynamics:
    The drug Tussamag has an expectorant effect, dilutes sputum and reduces its viscosity.
    The active ingredients of the drug - thymol and carvacrol - also exert an antimicrobial effect.

    Indications:
    In the complex therapy of infectious-inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by a cough with hard-to-separate sputum (including bronchitis, tracheitis, tracheobronchitis, whooping cough).

    Contraindications:
    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;
    heart rate decompensation;
    gastritis;
    peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the stage of exacerbation;
    hereditary intolerance to fructose;
    deficiency of sugar / isomaltazy;
    glucose galactose malabsorption;
    children under 1 year.

    Carefully:
    Diseases of the liver; alcoholism; craniocerebral trauma; diseases of the brain; children's age from 1 year.

    Pregnancy and lactation:
    There have been insufficient studies on the use of Tussamag during pregnancy and during breastfeeding. Due to this, and because of the content of ethanol in its composition, the drug should not be taken during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

    Dosing and Administration:
    Inside, regardless of food intake.
    If the doctor has not prescribed a different dosage, the drug is taken:
    Adults and children over 12 years: 2-3 teaspoons of syrup 3-4 times a day;
    Children from 4 to 12 years: 1-2 teaspoons of syrup 3-4 times a day;
    Children from 1 year to 4 years: 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day.
    The syrup can be taken without diluting or mixing with other liquids (for example, tea or fruit juice).

    Side effects:
    To date, no side effects have been reported with the use of the drug, but allergic reactions may occur.
    Due to the content of sorbitol in its composition, taking the drug may cause gastric
    disorders and diarrhea.

    Overdose:
    When the drug is used in doses exceeding the recommended dose, irritation of the gastrointestinal tract, vomiting, diarrhea is possible.
    Treatment is symptomatic.

    Interaction:
    Tussamag should not be used concomitantly with drugs containing codeine and other antitussive medicines, as this makes it difficult to cough up thinned phlegm.

    Special instructions:
    Due to the ethanol content, children under 12 should take Tussamag on recommendation and under the supervision of a doctor.
    The average content of ethanol taken with the Tussamag preparation at a certain dose for children from 1 year to 4 years is equivalent to 0.08 g.
    100 g of Tussamag contains 31.5 g of sorbitol. If the drug is taken in the right dose, each dose (4-6 ml of syrup) contains 1.85 g of sorbitol, which is equivalent to 0.15 bread units.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:
    When using Tussamag, care should be taken when performing actions requiring increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

    Form release / dosage:
    Syrup 9%.
