Due to the content of ethanol, children under 12 years of age should take the drug on the recommendation and under the supervision of a doctor. The content of ethyl alcohol in the preparation is not more than 4%.
In one teaspoon of the drug (5 ml) contains no more than 0.16 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol (that is, anhydrous ethyl alcohol).
- For children from 1 year to 5 years in the maximum single dose contains no more than 0.16 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol, in a maximum daily dose - not more than 0.48 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol;
- for children from 5 to 12 years the maximum single dose contains not more than 0.32 g of absolute ethyl alcohol, in the maximum daily dose - not more than 1.28 g of absolute ethyl alcohol;
- for adults and children over 12 years in the maximum single dose contains no more than 0.48 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol, in a maximum daily dose - not more than 1.92 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol.
In 100 g of the drug contains 31.5 g of sorbitol (in terms of anhydrous sorbitol). In 1 teaspoon of syrup (5 ml) contains 1.85 g of sorbitol, which corresponds to 0.15 bread units.
