    Pharmacodynamics:

    The drug Bronhoplant® exerts an expectorant effect, dilutes sputum and reduces its viscosity. The active substances of the drug - thymol and carvacrol - also have an antimicrobial effect.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    The effect of the drug is the result of the combined action of thyme active ingredients of the herb extract, so it is not possible to carry out pharmacokinetic studies; all components can not be traced with the help of markers or bioassays.

    Indications:

    In the complex therapy of infectious-inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by a cough with hard-to-recover sputum (including bronchitis, tracheitis, tracheobronchitis, whooping cough).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; heart rate decompensation; gastritis; peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the stage of exacerbation; hereditary intolerance to fructose; deficiency of sugar / isomaltase; glucose-galactose malabsorption; children under 1 year.

    Carefully:

    Diseases of the liver; alcoholism; craniocerebral trauma; diseases of the brain; children's age from 1 year.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The drug is not recommended during pregnancy and during breastfeeding because of lack of sufficient clinical experience in this category of patients.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, regardless of food intake.

    If the doctor has not prescribed a different dosage, the drug is taken:

    Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2-3 teaspoons (10-15 ml) of syrup 3-4 times a day;

    Children from 5 to 12 years: 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 ml) of syrup 3-4 times a day;

    Children from 1 to 5 years: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of syrup 2-3 times a day.

    The syrup can be taken without diluting or diluting with water.

    The duration of the drug is determined by the therapeutic need and duration of the disease.

    Side effects:

    There may be allergic reactions.

    Because of the content of sorbitol, when taking the drug may irritate the mucous membrane of the stomach, diarrhea.

    If side effects occur that are not described in this manual, stop taking the medication and tell your doctor.

    Overdose:

    When the drug is used in doses exceeding the recommended dose, irritation of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract, vomiting, diarrhea is possible.

    Treatment: symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Bronhoplant® Do not use with drugs containing codeine and other antitussive medicines, as this makes it difficult to cough up thinned phlegm.

    Special instructions:

    Due to the content of ethanol, children under 12 years of age should take the drug on the recommendation and under the supervision of a doctor. The content of ethyl alcohol in the preparation is not more than 4%.

    In one teaspoon of the drug (5 ml) contains no more than 0.16 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol (that is, anhydrous ethyl alcohol).

    - For children from 1 year to 5 years in the maximum single dose contains no more than 0.16 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol, in a maximum daily dose - not more than 0.48 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol;

    - for children from 5 to 12 years the maximum single dose contains not more than 0.32 g of absolute ethyl alcohol, in the maximum daily dose - not more than 1.28 g of absolute ethyl alcohol;

    - for adults and children over 12 years in the maximum single dose contains no more than 0.48 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol, in a maximum daily dose - not more than 1.92 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol.

    In 100 g of the drug contains 31.5 g of sorbitol (in terms of anhydrous sorbitol). In 1 teaspoon of syrup (5 ml) contains 1.85 g of sorbitol, which corresponds to 0.15 bread units.

    If the symptoms of the disease persist or worsen when the drug is used within 3-5 days, you should inform your doctor about it.

    When using the Bronhoplant® drug, care should be taken when carrying out potentially dangerous activities requiring increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving and other vehicles, working with moving mechanisms, dispatcher and operator work).

    Packaging:

    For 100 ml in bottles of brown or orange glass for medicines, sealed with caps screwed on with a sealing element and control the first opening.

    Each bottle, together with instructions for use, is placed in a pack of cardboard. It is allowed to insert a measuring cup into a pack of cardboard.

    Storage conditions:

    Shelf life:
