    Composition:

    1 capsule contains:

    Active components:

    Levomenthol solution in menthyl isovalerate (validol) - 100 mg.

    Composition of gelatin capsule shell: gelatin pharmaceutical, glycerol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water.

    Description:

    Capsules soft gelatinous spherical, light yellow color.

    Contents of capsules - a clear, colorless or slightly colored oily liquid with a smell of menthol.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Has a sedative effect, has a moderate reflex vasodilator effect due to irritation of sensitive nerve endings. It stimulates the production and release of enkephalins, endorphins and a number of other peptides, kinins (due to irritation of mucosal receptors), which take an active part in the regulation of vascular permeability, the formation of pain.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    With sublingual use, it is absorbed from the mucous membrane of the oral cavity. After absorption, biotransformed in the liver and excreted by the kidneys in the form of glucuronides.

    Indications:

    Functional cardialgia, neuroses, and also as an antiemetic for sea and air sickness.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Validol is prescribed to adults under the tongue.The capsule should be kept in the mouth under the tongue until complete resorption. Take 1 capsule 2-3 times a day.

    The daily frequency and duration of reception is determined depending on the effectiveness of treatment. If the effect is not sufficiently pronounced, or when, in individual patients, the next 5 minutes after taking the drug effect is not observed, you need to contact your doctor for another therapy.

    Side effects:

    With prolonged intake of Validol, mild nausea, dizziness, and lacrimation may be observed. These phenomena usually pass by themselves.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: headache, nausea, agitation, impaired heart activity, lowering blood pressure, suppressing the central nervous system.

    Treatment: cancel the drug. Symptomatic therapy.

    Interaction:

    When combined with medicines that depress the central nervous system, it intensifies the inhibitory effect of the latter.

    The simultaneous use of Validol with nitrates reduces the headache that occurs when they are used.

    Form release / dosage:

    Capsules of the sublingual 100 mg.

    Packaging:

    For 10 capsules in a planar cell package, 2 contour packs with instructions for use in a pack of cardboard box.

    Storage conditions:

    In dry, dark place at a temperature of 15 to 25 ° C.
