    Composition:

    Per 100 ml:

    active substance: Ammonia water concentrated - 44 ml (equivalent to 10 g ammonia);

    adjuvant: purified water up to 100 ml

    Description:

    Colorless transparent volatile liquid with a pungent odor.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Analeptic, antiseptic; when inhaled, causes irritation of the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract and reflexively excites the respiratory and vasomotor centers. In high concentrations causes a reflex stop of breathing. Has a disinfecting effect on the skin. With prolonged contact irritating effect on the skin can go into cauterization (coagulation of proteins) with the development of hyperemia, swelling and soreness.

    Indications:

    Fainting conditions, disinfection of the skin of hands, neutralization of acid toxins with insect bites.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity; violation of the integrity of the skin or inflammatory skin diseases at the site of the intended application (including dermatitis, eczema) and other skin diseases (for external use).

    Carefully:

    Pregnancy, lactation, children's age.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inhalation, externally.To stimulate respiration and remove patients from the fainting condition, for which inhalation, carefully (by 0.5-1 s), bring to the nasal apertures wetted with a piece of cotton wool. In surgical practice (for disinfection) a solution of ammonia (25 ml for 5 l of warm boiled water) is used for washing hands. When bites insects are used externally in the form of lotions.

    Side effects:

    Stopping breathing (reflex, when inhaled in high concentrations), flushing, swelling and tenderness of the skin at the site of application.

    Interaction:

    Neutralizes acids.

    Form release / dosage:

    Solution for external use and inhalation 10%.

    Packaging:

    To 40, 100 ml in bottles of orange glass, sealed with plastic stoppers and screwed caps. Each vial of 40, 100 ml, together with instructions for use, is placed in a pack of cardboard. It is allowed to pack vials with an equal number of instructions for medical use in a group package.

    For hospitals: 18 kg each in polyethylene cans with a screw neck.
