    Pharmacodynamics:When inhaled, it irritates the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract and reflexively excites the respiratory and vasomotor centers. Has a disinfecting effect on the skin. In large doses, the ammonia solution can cause reflex stopping of breathing.
    Indications:

    It is used as an emergency aid in cases of syncope, poisoning with alcohol and other substances. In surgical practice for washing hands, as well as for neutralizing acid toxins and biting insects and snake.

    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity. Local application of ammonia solution is contraindicated for dermatitis, eczema and other skin diseases.
    Pregnancy and lactation:Data on the effect on the body during pregnancy and lactation are absent.
    Dosing and Administration:

    They are used as an emergency aid for excitation of respiration and excretion of patients from syncope, for which a piece of cotton wool soaked with a preparation is brought to the nasal aperture by inhalation, carefully (no closer than 0.5-1 cm). For the manifestation of vomiting action, the drug is administered orally 5 drops per 100 ml of water.For washing hands, use a solution of ammonia (25 ml per 5 liters of warm boiled water). When bites insects are used externally in the form of lotions.

    Side effects:The respiratory arrest (reflex, when inhaled in high concentration), hypersalivation, perspiration in the throat, hyperemia of the oral mucosa. Burns of the esophagus and stomach (ingestion of the drug inside).
