Pieces of dark-green serrate-dentate, bare leaves; pieces of round-oval, longitudinally-grooved stems, often with a purple-purple hue in the nodes; pieces of leaves of the outer wrapping - green, pubescent on the edge, and inner wrappers - filmy, brownish-yellow with numerous dark purple veins; pieces of tubular, yellow flowers and a flat crochet, seated with narrow, pleated bracts.
The color is green, brownish green or greenish-violet with dirty yellow patches. The smell is weak. The taste of water extract is bitterish, slightly astringent.
