A mixture of brownish-green particles with whitish, yellowish, greenish-violet,brownish and dark brown patches, passing through a sieve with holes 2 mm in diameter.
When viewing under a magnifying glass (10x) or a stereomicroscope (16x), you should see: pieces of leaf blade, petioles, stems, flower-bud, individual wrappings and yellowish tubular flowers and fragments thereof.
The smell is weak. The taste of water extract is bitterish, slightly astringent.
