A mixture of particles of the oak bark of a yellowish brown color with patches of light yellow, grayish and dark brown color. The smell is weak, peculiar, intensifying when the bark is moistened with water. The taste of water extract is very astringent.

Pharmacodynamics:

In the oak bark contains tannins, free gallic and ellagic acids, other biologically active substances.

Oak bark infusion has an astringent, anti-inflammatory effect.

Indications:

Applied locally in adults and children with inflammatory diseases of the mucous membrane of the mouth, throat, pharynx (stomatitis, gingivitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Possible use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation.

Dosing and Administration:

2 filter bags (3 g) are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and insist for 30 minutes. Filter packs are squeezed, the volume of the obtained infusion is brought to boiling water to 100 ml.

Apply topically for rinsing the mouth and throat 1 / 2-1 glass of warm infusion 6-8 times a day. Before use, the infusion is shaken.

Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible. With prolonged use of the infusion of oak bark for rinsing the mouth, in some cases, a decrease in smell and taste.
