    Composition:Oak bark.
    Description:

    The mixture of the particles is yellowish brown, light brown, grayish brown, light gray, passing through a sieve with holes of 2 mm. The smell is weak, peculiar, intensifying when the bark is moistened with water. The taste of water extract is very astringent.

    Pharmacodynamics:Oak bark contains tannins, gallic and ellagic acids, quercetin and other biologically active substances.

    Infusion from the bark of oak has astringent and anti-inflammatory effect.

    Indications:Applied locally in adults and children with inflammatory diseases of the mucous membrane of the mouth, throat, pharynx (stomatitis, gingivitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis).
    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, children up to 3 years.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The use is possible after agreement with the attending physician.

    Dosing and Administration:

    2 filter packs (4 g) are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover with a lid and insist for 15 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then the filter bags are squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 100 ml with boiled water.

    Locally, for rinses, use 1 / 2-1 cup 6-8 times a day. The course of treatment 2-4 weeks. Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible.

    Overdose:With prolonged use of the bark of an oak for rinsing the oral cavity in some cases, a decrease in smell and tastesensations.
